- What kind of bug repellent should I buy for my child?
- Bug Repellent-
- Any repellent used on pediatric patients should contain no more than 30% DEET.
- Bug repellents should not be used on children under the age of 12 months.
- Never spray repellent on your child's face-spray onto your hand first then rub on your child's face, avoiding the eyes and mouth.
- Do not use products that contain sunscreen and repellent in one. The sunscreen is less effective and your child may have an overexposure to the DEET.
