Head Injuries


Have you ever wondered what to do with a head injury?  Here are a few guidelines that may help you.  Always remember, if there is a doubt call the office, we are happy to answer any questions.
  • Do not move a child who may have a serious head,neck, and /or back injury.  This could cause further damage. 
  • Call 911 immediately if the child loses consciousness or has a convulsion(seizure)
  • Call the office for any child with a head injury that has any of the following symptoms:
  • Drowsy/Tired
  • Difficulty being awakened
  • Persistent headache or vomiting
  • Clumsiness or inability to move any body part
  • Oozing of blood or watery fluid from ears or nose
  • Abnormal speech or behavior
